What I love about paper. I have been a paper Artist now for many years and it never ceases to amaze me all the wonderful things you can do with paper Paper has the most amazing qualities thing that maybe you have not heard of a grain as in fabric so it is easier to fold with the grain. It stretches as fabric does on a cross grain or bias. You can fold, crease, tear, crumple to add texture. It has so many qualities. You can dampen, colour, cut, dry, stain, sew. So it is one amazing fabric.
I thought maybe this blog I would like to share with you some of the beautiful things you can make with paper.
Life is meant to have its special times so this is what I love to indulge in for my recreation and therapy.
I hope to share with you many of my paper Arts.
I have always loved paper and fabric creating from a very little girl, I think this is because my Mum was very clever with her hands and encouraged me to be creative as well. I can remember the beautiful drawings she would paint for me to take to school for special projects to share with the class, the many hours she spent making my clothes and making for others to help with the household costs.
I was very lucky to have a Mum that was encouraging in these areas. Although as I have grown and looked back through our family history I find that there are quite a few artists on my Mums side of our family.
I will finish here for this time but look forward to sharing more of my Paper and Fabric Art with you.
Carolyn.
